Sable, also meaning "rich in black color" and "hints of luxury", is named and inspired after her four daughters, where we encourage women empowerment and sisterhood. Sable emphasizes on the simplistic and modern woman that prefers luxe-looking minimal pieces. Her style is effortless, modern and she gravitates towards more neutral colors.

Founder Janine Alpert

Janine Alpert was born and raised in the South Shore and now resides in Hanover with her husband and four daughters. She has always dreamt of owning her own clothing boutique since college when she first wrote a business plan. For the last several years, she has dedicated her time and passion in creating another business plan for her store. One of her main focuses in creating Sable Boutique was having a clear concept and style women would quickly understand while shopping

Why did you apply for Project Pop-Up?

I applied to Project: Pop-Up to bring awareness to my brand and share my concept and passion of creating a simplistic and neutral style wardrobe. I want women to understand that shopping can be simple and efficient and that having key quality garments in your wardrobe is more valuable in the long run. I always ask myself (and other women) how many seasons can you wear that item? How many different events can you wear it too? If the answer is only one, consider buying something else. We emphasize on elevated basics and simplistic neutral styles so it’s easier to wear during multiple seasons and with better quality, you are able to do so. This is also a great opportunity to connect with women from a different community and as a mother and woman-owned business, it’s important for me to encourage other women to follow their dream.
